Lead from where you are to get to where you want to be.

Whether you need leadership training to help build your team’s capacity to correctly diagnose and solve problems or one-on-one coaching to help you meet your professional goals, the team at Level Leadership is here to help you. Employing an adaptive leadership framework developed by Dr. Ron Heifetz at the Harvard Kennedy School, Level’s team will teach you to ask the right questions so you don’t waste time crafting the wrong solutions.

Dr. Stasia trained with the founder of adaptive leadership, Dr. Ron Heifetz at HKS, and her team delivers cutting-edge, innovative training and coaching to help you and your team correctly diagnose and meet the complex challenges you face. Unlike traditional leadership training, Level’s team are also trained and award-winning educators who employ unique pedagogical techniques to engage and inspire your team: this is not sage-on-a-stage/bore-on-the-floor lecturing. The Level team provides hands-on, experiential, and highly engaging leadership training that leaves you and your team feeling both informed and inspired.

At Level Leadership, we work with you to build your leadership capacity. We don’t just tell you; we show you.

Dr. Cristina Stasia

Dr. Cristina Stasia brings over two decades of experience building the capacity of individuals, institutions, organizations, and government branches to lead more effectively and inclusively while tackling complex problems.

An award-winning university lecturer, students voted her one of the top three most inspiring professors at the 41k-student University of Alberta.

After 25 years teaching in post-secondary institutions in the USA and Canada, Cristina was recruited by a former Canadian Prime Minister to launch Canada’s first leadership college. She served as the Director of Leadership Training and Program Development and as a Lougheed Adjunct Professor at the Peter Lougheed Leadership College, where she created and delivered interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary programs for CEOs, executives, postdocs, MBAs, graduate students, medical students, law students, and undergrads.

Cristina has also created and delivered custom leadership programs for the Hong Kong-based company Sunwah,  nursing faculty across Ghana, and Varsity athletics programs. Currently, she provides training and coaching at the Broad Institute (Harvard/MIT) and KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia), as well as for the HOPE Project (Madagascar).

Recognized as one of Edmonton’s “Top 40 Under 40” by Avenue magazine for her commitment to empowering people to lead from where they are, she works with a team of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary leadership experts and academic coaches to help her clients–and their teams–get out of their own way.

  • Leadership Coaching

Let us help you get out of your own way! Too often, clients are stuck professionally or personally because they are working on the wrong problem.

Most leadership errors are ones of diagnosis. At Level, our adaptive leadership coaches will help you “get on the balcony” to see the issue from multiple perspectives: we spend most of our time diagnosing the problem so that when we generate experiments and action options, we can be sure we are solving the right problem.

Whether you have a specific obstacle, a behavioural pattern that is getting in your way, or a new position that you want to thrive in, Level coaches leverage their adaptive leadership training to build strong one-on-one coaching relationships that support not only your leadership growth but help you develop concrete skills–in conflict management, self-awareness, change management strategy–to navigate your leadership journey.

  • Academic Coaching

At Level, we believe everyone can lead from where they are, including students. With a combined 50+ years of teaching and coaching experience in every discipline––from engineering to drama to law school to surgical residency– across dozens of countries, the Level team is available to support high school, postsecondary, and executive students to make the most of their education.

Universities are places of tremendous opportunity–if you know where to look and have the proper guides. Whether you are preparing to enter university and want to be set up for maximum success, you are considering grad/law/med school, or you are in post-secondary and would like the dedicated support of an academic coach to avoid the common mistakes most students make, the Level team is here to support you.

Academic coaching is not subject-specific tutoring; instead, you can think of your Level coach as your favourite professor, who will meet with you in an informal “office hours” environment to provide you with one-on-one coaching–from time management to conflict management to building leadership capacity to navigating academic institutions to how to ace that medical interview at Yale–that we tailor to your needs and your future goals.

  • Leadership at Level

We believe strongly in levelling the playing field for leadership, so for every paid coaching client, we donate time to a client in need. Leadership is for everyone, not just the privileged, and each Level team member is committed to ensuring leadership looks like the diverse communities in which we live.

Lead from where you are to get to where you want to be.
